Sven Longshanks looks at the tacit endorsement of bacha bazi and its perpetrators by the west.
Bacha bazai is the Afghan name for adult men raping little boys. The Taliban made the execution of these child rapists central to their administration.
When the west occupied Afghanistan, the child rapists were allowed to continue and they helped form the new police and administration.
Now the Taliban are back, it is these child rapists who will be the most keen to leave and our governments appear to be obliging them, since it is people who worked with the occupiers who are most likely to gain refugee status.
We expose this to show how the west is responsible for a vastly increased threat to Afghan children over the last 20 years and now to our own children, by importing people linked to this practice into our own countries.
