Sven Longshanks looks at the NHS decision to stop using the word BAME because it strips people of their ethnic identity.

We should always strive to be as accurate as we can, yet as far as race is concerned, we just lump everybody in together as ethnic minorities.

We are even told that words like mulatto, quadroon and octeroon are now slurs, despite the fact that millions of people still alive self identify as one of them.

The NHS ignored the responses from White people on what they thought was best and just listened to non-Whites in the consultation.
