Sven Longshanks and Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson look at relations between China, Afghanistan and America.

China has been mocking the US for leaving Afghanistan, at the same time as helping with relief after the recent earthquake.

This was followed up by an assertion that NATO is a threat to world peace and the ‘rules based international order’ is just made to serve US interests.

America has sent some aid through third parties to Afghanistan, while at the same time freezing the central bank’s assets and revoking the countries ‘major non-NATO ally’ status.
