Sven Longshanks looks at the extent to which the decolonisation movement has effected university coursework.
‘Decolonising’ means removing White people and this has now progressed from historical subjects to science and medicine.
The first lesson on thermodynamics now concentrates on how the origins of the subject were ‘deeply implicated in imperialism and slavery’.
The universities admit that these changes to course curriculum are a response to BLM, a left wing movement supposedly about lowering the number of Blacks killed by police in America.
Universities have also been increasing mandatory diversity training, banning right wing views from being aired and calling for the dismantling of the establishment, the establishment that created the universities in the first place.
The government’s response to this is a freedom of speech bill for universities, which is currently with the House of Lords.
