Stellar Dynamics stay with the industrial theme and renaissance chord progressions, while Planetshine gets percussive with his electro-glockenspiel over a chorus of buzzing hornets.
Dynatron sound like Kangz of Blitz jamming with Billy Idol’s guitarist before We Are Magonia’s kick drums take over, with classic synth riffs and rock guitar soloes.
Forerunnerx goes heavy on distortion and compression for a darksynth ending to the electronica section and Aufbruch open the second half with chugging thrash riffs and hardcore sensibilities.
Notwehr’s jangly guitars show a Final War influence and the singer could be a cockney if he wasn’t singing in German, while Panychida take us into Judas Priest territory with technical riffing that’s guaranteed to get your head nodding.
Fortid begin like the best part of Rime of the Ancient Mariner adding a viking chorus with a touch of early Floyd, contrasting with the delicate vocals of Alkonost, whose band have finally remembered where she hid their electric guitars.
Saurom like a jaunty melody and a celtic jig, leaving it to symphonic black metallers Sanctuary to speed things up again with wild soloes and a punchy brass section.
Herumor finish the episode with a Jethro Tull style flute and acoustic guitar ballad with orchestral backing.
