Real Britannia: Gas, Oil, Coal and Cobalt – RB 022122

Sven Longshanks and Max Musson discuss Britain’s oil industry, green energy and a touted solution for illegal immigration.

Policy Exchange have suggested holding illegal immigrants off shore and the architect of Australia’s same policy has been appointed to help.

As well as dealing with an invasion from France, Britain is facing astronomical heating bills for importing fuel from abroad, so why are we not using our own oil, coal and gas?

Electric cars are being touted as a solution for our environmental problems, but they may well become the diesel engines of the modern world when you look at their carbon footprint.

In the ‘Greatest Britons’ series Lord Leverhulme buys islands in the Hebrides and tries to provide a truly sustainable way of life for the indigenous inhabitants, but due to a lack of foresight on the part of the crofters his venture failed.

He died having set up numerous endowments and education facilities designed to improve the lives of those who lived around him.
